AWWAL GATHERING
Pada hari Ahad bersamaan 20 November 2005 akan diadakan satu perjumpaan awwal bersama semua peserta GPTD makkah di Anjung Rahmat. Program akan bermula pada pukul 9.30 pagi .Peserta seramai 25 orang akan hadir untuk diberikan penerangan lanjut berkenaan program ini. Semua peserta diwajibkan hadir.
Fundamental Erudition Regarding Hajj
Hajj Jurisprudence Requisite
- Being Muslim
- Freedom - Slaves are not compulsory to perform Hajj but will gain reward (pahala) ifPerform the Hajj.
- Eligibility - Physical and financial ability
b) Transportation is available
c) Provisions and the cost of transport means should not affecf repaying one's debts nor
providing for one's family.
d) Having enough strength to endure the journey
e) The journey should be secure.
- As for female pilgrim :
b) For a women not to be in the state of Iddah, that is, not to be newly divorced.
c) Female pilgrim must have permission from her husband to perform Hajj.
- As for Old and Disable Pilgrims :
Hajj, and it is an obligatory for the representative to finish his own Hajj first.
Hajj Obligatory
- Perform Hajj at Miqat (NIAT)
- Left all forbidden things while in Ihram
- Spending the night at Muzdalifah = Usually after Isya' on 10 Zulhijjah.
- Throwing Pebbles (Jamarat during Tasyrik Days)
b) Jamrah al-Ula
c) Jamrah al-Wusta
- Spending the night at Mina, at least spending more then half that night.
- Throwing all 3 pebbles (Jamarat) on Tasyriq days (11, 12, 13 Zulhijjah).

- Niat Hajj
- Wuquf, being at Arafah at 9 Zulhijjah
- Tawaf
b) Tawaf Qudum - A welcoming Tawaf (and for Hajj Qiran and Ifrad)
c) Tawaf Sunat
d) Tawaf Nazar
e) Tawaf Wida' - a goodbye Tawaf, for pilgrim who want to leave Makkah
- Sa'ie
b) Start from Safa and ended at Marwah (7 times)
- Shave
b) Trimming start on the night of 10 Zulhijjah
- Tahallul
a) Throwing Jamarat
b) Tawaf Rukun and Sa'ie
c) Shaving
- Tahallul Thani
a) After fulfilling all 3 things of Tahallul Awwal, we are free from all forbidden of Ihram
- Orderliness of all rukun
Sunat Hajj
- Cutting long nails
- Shaving of hairs
- Bath before Ihram
- Talbiah
- Performing Tawaf Qudum for those who did Hajj Ifrad and Qiran
- Overnight at Mina at the night of Arafah
- During Tawaf Qudum, it is more polite to jog slowly
Dam (fine)
Reasons :
- Disobey any rules while in Ihram
- Leaving compulsory affair of Hajj
- Fulfilling Hajj Tamattuk or Qiran, according to its condition
- Ihsar for those who is in Ihram
- Againts Nazar while fulfilling Hajj
- Leaving Tawaf Wida'
- Wukuf end at Arafah
- Fidyah - Shaving while in Ihram, wearing perfume or wearing cloth (not Ihram)
- Fasting for 3 days
- Feeding 6 poor persons
- Slaughtering sheep
- Replacing it with the same animal or doing Fidyah with the same amount of money for
feeding the poor or fasting.
- Before early Tahallul (a Camel or Cow), if cannot, 3 days fasting during Hajj and 7 days of fasting after when back to country.
- After early Tahallul = same as Fidyah
Rasulullah S.A.W only did once Hajj (Hijjatul Wada' / Hijjatul Balagh/ Hijjatul Islam or Hijjatuttamam wal kamal) during his life time.
Rasulullah went to Madinatul Munarwarrah on Saturday 25, Zulkaedah, 10 Hijrah with his wife and 90 000 Muslims.
Rasulullah fulfills all Ihram Requirement and Sunat, wearing Ihram and performing the niat at Bir Ali (10km from Medina) and arrive at Makkah on 4th Zulhijjah after taking 9 days of travelling. Rasulullah leave for Mina on 8th Zulhijjah and spend a night there.
The Rasulullah went to Arafah for Wukuf on the 9th Zulhijjah (Friday). Rasulullah fulfills all rukuns and the obligatory of Hajj until 13th Zulhijjah 14th Zulhijjah. Rasulullah S.A.W then leaves Makkah al-Mukarramah heading back to Madinah al-Munawwarah.
Hajj For Childrens
Hajj for children below age are not an obligatory for them, only if they are Mumaiyiz (can differentiate clean and dirty) and knows how to perform Hajj, then his Hajj is Accepted.
If the child is not Mumaiyiz, and his father or his caretaker, then they can perform the Hajj for the child.

JOURNEY TO THE HOLY LAND : HAJJ – FLAWLESS AND BLESSINGS

INTRODUCTION
Hajj is one of the yearly biggest events for Muslims all over the world. Kingdom of Arab Saudi as the host for this event has accommodated the pilgrims with good services for the pilgrims so that they may perform and accomplish their religious worship smoothly and comfortably.
However, Research of this nature is deemed to be an important element to evaluate the efficiency of the services provided, as well as to ensure the satisfaction of the pilgrims.
Therefore, we from World Civilisation Research Group (GPTD) with the support of Academy For Civilizational Studies Of Malaysia is committed to conduct a research on Hajj performance, particularly in identifying all sort of difficulties faced by the pilgrims especially in Arafah, Muzdalifah and Mina. Considering that the numbers of ASEAN pilgrims are increasing every year, the research will focus on them.To ensure that this research is effective and fruitful, we undertake to collaborate with Research Centre, Ummul Qura University, Saudi Arabia.

OBJECTIVES
- To identify the difficulties faced by the pilgrims especially in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.
- To really know the nature, structure, and basis of the difficulties thoroughly.
- To use the information provided in the research to overcome the difficulties.
- The findings will be utilized to enhance in fostering and strengthen the Islamic brotherhood among the pilgrims.
